Sniper Elite Developer Rebellion Partners With Level Infinite For ‘Project Archipelago’

In an official blog post today, Rebellion revealed a new partnership with Level Infinite to work on an unannounced title with the codename “Project Archipelago.”

Rebellion calls it an original IP that uses “the unique skillsets of both organisations to create a new gameplay experience.”

Today’s blog post also reveals that Rebellion will roll out a playtest of the game sometime “soon.” The playtest will only feature a “pre-Alpha build of Project Archipelago,” as well as a dedicated Discord.

Although fans can playtest Project Archipelago soon, Rebellion did not offer further details about the project or its gameplay. But the playtest does give fans an idea of the development timeline.

Rebellion did add that “more details will be revealed about the project in due course.” Although the devs appear to be wisely patient, it seems that more news about the project is coming soon. There will likely be even more revealed at Gamescom 2024 in August.

Fans likely recognize Rebellion for its work on the Sniper Elite and Zombie Army series. In February 2024, Rebellion announced Zombie Army VR, which is coming out sometime this year.

Level Infinite published a variety of popular games, such as PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings. Just last week, Honor of Kings developer TiMi Studio Group announced the game reached 50 million downloads since launch.
