Sharkmob Announces Exoborne Playtests With Public Signups

Sharkmob has announced that it will be holding playtests for its upcoming extraction shooter Exoborne.

UPDATE 5/2/2024 6:50pm ET: We originally wrote in the story that Exoborne would be free-to-play when it releases. Insider Gaming has learned that the game will be a premium title, and has updated the story to reflect that.

“Player feedback is crucial for the development of Exoborne, so today we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a set of playtests to gather your feedback,” the studio posted on social media.

Signups are currently open to everyone via the game’s website, but specific dates for the playtests weren’t revealed at the time of publishing. The playtests will also only be available only on PC. Those who wish to participate in the Exoborne playtests should make sure their machine reaches the minimum system requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-9500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 (8GB) or AMD RX 6700 XT (12GB)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Drive: SSD
  • Storage Space: 40GB
  • OS: Windows 10 or higher.

Led by creative director Petter Mannerfelt, formerly of The Division, Exoborne was first revealed during The Game Awards 2023. Though there is no release date, the game is expected to be available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox when it launches.
