ASUS ROG XBOX Ally X20 Releases October As The Most Expensive Ally Yet

ASUS has announced that the long-awaited ROG XBOX Ally X20, the next iteration of the stellar handheld device, will go on sale from October 15th. It’s available to pre-order now and is available both as a bundle with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 gaming AR glasses or as a standalone unit. If you get the XREAL bundle, you’ll also get a dbrand ‘Killswitch’ and a Pelican case.

The price is substantial, as you could probably imagine. If you want to purchase just the XBOX ROG Ally X20, you’ll be parting ways with a whopping £1,299. But if you want the XREAL bundle, it’ll be a staggering £2,299.

ROG XBOX Ally X20 Can Be Pre-Ordered Now

The ROG XBOX Ally X20 is the relatively all-new handheld from ASUS, the team that brought you the ROG Ally and the ROG Ally X, setting the bar for the handheld gaming space. Later, the team released the XBOX Ally and XBOX Ally X, which, in my review, I dubbed ‘a powerhouse of portable gaming.’

When the XBOX Ally X20 drops, you’re going to be getting the ultimate iteration of the console that boasts all the bells and whistles you’d expect, plus some you might not.

That includes an upgraded 7.4-inch screen that, for the first time, uses an OLED panel. It boasts HDR support and 120hz VRR, which effortlessly trumps the standard LCD screen of the XBOX Ally and XBOX Ally X.

It also has a stunning chassis that features gold accents and a translucent shell, and while it’s heavier than the Ally X, it’s still a comfortable unit (presumably) because of the full-sized buttons, triggers, sticks, and grips. And on the topic of sticks, it now boasts a set of drift-proof TMR thumbsticks.
