Redfall is set to get one final update before work ends on it entirely.
In a message posted on Twitter on Friday, the game’s official account thanked fans for the support since it was announced that developer Arkane Austin was one of four studios being closed by Microsoft.
The message went on to reveal some of the features included in the final update, including the promised offline mode that will allow players to play even after Microsoft shuts down the game’s servers in the future.
“We are working to release our final update, Game Update 4, that brings revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, Offline Mode, and more,” the Twitter post reads. “We’ll provide additional details soon. Thank you all.”
When it was first announced that Arkane Austin was closing, the studio said there would be no more updates for the game. It seems clear that, based on the pushback from players, releasing one last update was the best thing to do for players to ensure that they can keep playing the game now and in the future.
