Ubisoft’s ‘Project U’ closed playtest will take place on October 14th to October 15th and will be 4 hours in length on each date, sources have said.
Not much is currently known about Project U, but per Ubisoft’s website the game will be “exploring a new concept of session-based co-op shooter, where many players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat!”
The game’s description implies the game is likely a PvE or PvPvE experience.
Sources have said that the PC requirements for the game are a lot higher than usual.
Project U PC Requirements
Minimum Requirements for 30FPS:
Operating system: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460, AMD Ryzen 3 1200
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 570 (8GB of VRAM)
RAM : 16 GB dual channel
Recommended Requirements for 60 FPS:
Operating system: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K, AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (8GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 (8GB of VRAM)
RAM : 16 GB dual channel
The high requirements are likely because the game hasn’t yet been fully optimized.
It’s unclear if the game will be a free-to-play experience or not, but Ubisoft has several free-to-play titles in development that is yet to release.
