Xbox Game Pass may be getting a new Prince of Persia title soon, if the storefront leak is correct.
The Prince of Persia series has been going strong for more than 35 years. With iconic games like The Sands of Time and The Two Thrones, the Ubisoft franchise dominated the 2000s. Just recently, The Rogue Prince of Persia, a roguelike take on the series, hit consoles last month, including Xbox Game Pass. For fans of the series, it seems one more recent title will make its way onto the subscription service soon.
Xbox Game Pass Storefront Shows Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown in Recently Added
According to a few fans on social media, including website XboxEra, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is in the Recently Added section of Xbox Game Pass storefront. However, when you click on it, it either won’t let you download it or bring you to the game’s regular page with the $39.99 price tag. We at Insider Gaming can verify that, at least on the mobile Xbox app, The Lost Crown shows up, but isn’t installable.
It’s unclear if this is a mistake on Xbox’s end or if it intends to come out this week. The game is also available on Ubisoft+, but it’s been on the service since launch. Interestingly enough, Xbox held a Tokyo Game Show presentation today and never mentioned The Lost Crown being added. Still, nothing is set until an official confirmation is made by Xbox. The Lost Crown is lauded as a great return to the franchise and one that many hope will get a sequel. Perhaps, if added to Xbox Game Pass, it may get that chance.
