If you were hoping that the next look at the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake would come at The Game Awards 2025, prepare to be disappointed.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, the official account for the game confirmed that it won’t be making an appearance at the annual show.
“Sorry to disappoint, but can confirm Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time won’t be at TGA this year,” the post reads.
This confirmation comes after there was speculation, including from Insider Gaming’s sources, that the game could make an appearance on December 11. That belief that it could appear, though never fully confirmed, is because the game currently is slated to release in January 2026.
Announced back in 2020, the remake to the 2003 classic had been in a difficult development cycle. That even included a restart on development in 2022.
