PlayStation Trophies & Overlay Coming to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC

In a new blog today, PlayStation revealed that the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will feature both Trophies and a new overlay.

The blog explains that the new version of the game “shares the same Trophy set as the game on PlayStation 5 consoles.” In fact, as long as players connect their PS5 PlayStation Network account “will have the same Trophies unlocked on the PC version.”

Completionists and PC enthusiasts will definitely appreciate the fresh opportunity to earn PlayStation Trophies, as well as Steam or EGS achievements.

Windows PC users will also get the chance to try out the new PlayStation overlay in the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut port. This overlay will feature your Friends list, Trophies, settings, and profile.

The feature can be accessed directly in the game, or even with keyboard shortcuts for MNK players. But it’s also optional, for single player gaming or the co-op multiplayer “Legends” mode.

So, the PlayStation overlay won’t automatically impose itself on the traditional PC experience. This convenient and flexible approach should please longtime fans.

In addition to the PlayStation features, Nixxes Software also confirmed Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut PC specs today. The game can operate at just 720p at 30 FPS with 8 GB of memory. But it can also run with 4K at 60 FPS.

It’s clear the devs and PlayStation invested a great deal in this new port. It introduces major new features that could become regular additions in future PC titles.

It’s a shame that PlayStation didn’t mention Trophies alongside Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition’s PC specs. But similar PlayStation staples could really benefit from the full experience on PC.
