PlayStation has just announced an extensive new list of games coming to PS Plus this month, all of which will be playable on January 16th.
Some highlights include Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next Level Edition and Resident Evil 2. This lineup follows the monthly games previously announced in December 2023.
Today’s blog also mentions that “select series from Crunchyroll” will be available for PS Plus Premium and Deluxe members starting January 15th.
While this service will be limited to just a few regions, more could be added soon.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will gain access to the following titles this month:
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition
- Resident Evil 2
- Hardspace: Shipbreaker
- LEGO City Undercover
- Just Cause 3
- Session: Skate Sim
- Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
- Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong
- Surviving the Aftermath
LEGO City Undercover is a nostalgic surprise that longtime LEGO fans will surely enjoy revisiting. The enormous open world remains impressive today, and the story is a nice break from LEGO’s countless IP collaborations.
Fortunately, there are also more recent titles, including both Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and indie darling Session: Skate Sim from 2022.
PlayStation also announced some Premium Classics to check out this month:
- Rally Cross
- Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace
- Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection
- Legend of Mana
- Secret of Mana
The Street Fighter collection is definitely a steal, since those early titles still hold up with lots of charm.
Some might find the PlayStation Plus games for January a little weak. And there could probably be a better balance between overlooked picks and AAA titles to boost the subscription value. But, the year has only just begun.
