CD Projekt Celebrates Phantom Liberty With a World Tour

On the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter page, an image was recently posted promoting a world tour event named the ‘Phantom Liberty Tour’. Taking place in June, the Phantom Liberty Tour is being toted as a ‘series of events around the world dedicated to showing the expansion to our community.’

As per the graphics, there will be eight events spread out around the globe, but at present, nobody knows what they will be. Is the Phantom Liberty Tour a trailer demonstration or a hands-on gameplay experience? It could be anything.

What Could The Phantom Liberty Tour Be?

When prompted for more information, CD Projekt simply said “We’ll share more information soon!” As the first and last expansion for the rags-to-riches Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty is one of the most highly anticipated expansions to release in recent years. It still doesn’t have a launch date, but it’s expected that all will be made clear in the coming days.

Recently, it was suggested that the expansion could release ‘as early as June 8th’, but given the arrival of the Phantom Liberty Tour, that seems extremely unlikely. Unfortunately, in the massive operations roadmap that CD Projekt released last year, all we were given for Cyberpunk 2077 was a ‘2023’ launch window.

In June, the Phantom Liberty Tour will arrive in the following cities:

  • London, England
  • Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • Paris, France
  • Seoul, South Korea
  • Beijing, China
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • Cologne, Germany,
  • Warsaw, Poland

It seems bizarre that no North American destinations made the cut, nor did any Oceanic cities like Sydney or Melbourne – the reasons for this are totally unknown.

Phantom Liberty could effectively be a ‘soft re-launch’ of Cyberpunk 2077. With a cast that features the presence of Idris Elba, there’s certainly going to be a lot of talent on display, and CD Projekt has been working on the expansion for quite some time.

More will be confirmed as soon as CD Projekt makes it known.
