On September 26th, the first and only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released – Phantom Liberty. It has been hot on the minds of all the fans that stuck with Cyberpunk as it turned itself around and ultimately became a very positively reviewed title (following a miserable launch period).
Now, in celebration of the release of Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt Red has revealed a ‘Collector’s Gear Set’ themed around the sizeable expansion. It’s set to change the face of the game, and in many ways, it’s actually a re-release of the 2020 game that stands firm as one of the biggest rags-to-riches stories in the history of gaming.
Collector’s Gear Set, not Edition
Slated to be released in Q1 of 2024, the Phantom Liberty Collector’s Gear Set features a fantastic assortment of Cyberpunk-themed goodies. At the heart of the collection is an 11-inch statue of Songbird and Solomon Reed, two pivotal characters from the Phantom Liberty expansion that players will get to meet on September 26th, 2023.
There’s an exclusive comic book that tells the story of ‘Ten of Swords’, as well as a metallic lithographic art piece, a limited edition challenge coin, and a high quality, ‘magnetic closure’ box. It’s quite a package, and it’ll run you up a tidy bill – it’s being marketed now at $180. That’s not a huge amount for the dedicated fans of the franchise that are still in love with it today, though.
At present, those seeking to get an early insider glimpse at Phantom Liberty are preparing to do so during the ‘Phantom Liberty Tour‘ that’s taking the expansion around some of the biggest cities in the world, with CD Projekt Red putting on exclusive trial events for the most die-hard fans.
Are you so excited for Phantom Liberty that you’re going to pre-order one of the Collector’s Gear Sets? I might.
