60 minutes of Phantom Blade Zero gameplay have been posted online, showcasing the game in 4K 60FPS.
The footage was uploaded by YouTuber GameV, which provides an authentic look, rather than trailers, at what the game looks like ahead of its unannounced launch date. You can watch the gameplay below, which has been recorded on a PlayStation 5 Pro:
Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming wuxia action role-playing game developed and published by S-GAME, scheduled for release on the PlayStation 5 and PC. According to the games director, the game is not a “proper soulslike”.
“When Phantom Blade Zero was first announced, people thought it was a “Soulslike.” Later, after we released some combat demo, people noticed that the pace was clearly much faster than Soulslike titles—it must be a “hack and slash” game like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden,” it was said.
Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the game features ‘Soul’, an assassin who serves a mysterious organization called ‘The Order’.
So far, we know that the game will be released for the PlayStation 5 and PC in 2025, but we haven’t received a firm release date. Presumably, the date will be announced in the coming months, possibly at this year’s Opening Night Live during Gamescom.
