The P3RE.JP has seen an update to its domain today, suggesting that the rumored Persona 3 Remake could be announced in the near future.
Courtesy of personacentral.com, the website says that similar updates were present for the “P5T” domain before it was officially revealed, as well as a series of other domains connected to Persona.
Persona Q2, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight & Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, Catherine: Full Body, Persona 5 Royal all received domain updates before announcements and teases, personacentral says.
A Persona 3 Remake first originated on ResetEra in September 2022 by user lolilolailo. The user claimed that both a Persona 3 Portable re-release and Persona 3 Remake were in development. lolilolailo would soon gain trust of their claims after it was later announced that Persona 3 Portable Remastered would release for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
According to the user, the Persona 3 Remake will combine the original two versions of the game into one definitive edition. The original Persona 3 had Persona 3 FES, with an epilogue chapter taking place after the original game, and Persona 3 Portable, which had a playable female protagonist and new social links with characters.
Footage of the long-rumored Persona 3 Remake allegedly leaked online earlier this year. Originally posted by Twitter user AVtoGAMEnoYAMI on April 4, the footage received skepticism online due to its high detail, leaving people to believe the footage was fan made. According to the user in a follow-up tweet, the footage originated from an internal SEGA meeting in 2021.
Insider Gaming hasn’t been able to verify when the Persona 3 Remake will be announced, but it can corroborate that the remake is in active development.
