The PDP Riffmaster, the first new guitar peripheral designed for Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4, finally has a release date and price after being revealed in January.
The new guitar controller will launch in April for $130, and works with Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
“At last, the wait is over… it’s time for gamers to rock on!” PDP senior director of product marketing Michael Lai said via press release.
“Rhythm-action gaming is experiencing more than a renaissance – it is being redefined! Every aspect of the RIFFMASTER design is informed by PDP’s rich heritage in rhythm-based gaming, including a nod to the past with backwards compatibility. We cannot wait for fans to have their first jam session!”
The PDP Riffmaster is an ambidextrous guitar controller, made for both left- and right-handed players. It also features a battery life of up to 36 hours per charge that works from 30 feet away.
Other features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, d-pad controls for easy navigation, collapsible design for storage, an analog stick on the back of the neck, and buttons at both to top and bottom of the fretboard.
Those who wish to pre-order the PDP Riffmaster can do so now via the company’s website or various retailers.
Recently, it was also announced that PDP was purchased by Turtle Beach for $118 million.
