Palworld Finally Launches for PS5 Consoles in Japan

Pocket Pair’s action-adventure title, Palworld, has finally been released for PS5s in Japan.

Pocket Pair Shadow released its popular 2024 title for PS5 in 68 countries and regions last month, but Japan was excluded. Many players speculated that Nintendo’s lawsuit against the developers could have caused the delay. However, the official Palworld Japan account on X has announced today that the game is now available on PS5 nationwide.

In the same thread, the Palworld Japan account added that the developers will “continue to provide exciting and large-scale updates to the PS5 version so that everyone can enjoy the game even more”. They have also apologised for the delay in release and look forward to continued community support.

Moreover, PS5 isn’t the only new platform that Pocket Pair is targeting. An announcement on October 2 revealed that Pocket Pair is partnering up with Krafton to bring Palworld to mobile. Check out Insider Gaming’s full report here

Pocket Pair has already responded to Nintendo’s lawsuit, stating that it is “unaware” of the specific patents it has been accused of infringing.
