A new Octopath Traveler game was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct event, titled Octopath Traveler 0. The new instalment will release on December 4, 2025
The last Octopath Traveller game players saw was Octopath Traveller 2, released in 2023. Since then, players have been eagerly waiting for some kind of announcement or tease for the next instalment in the series, and we have finally received something substantial.
Octopath Traveler 0 Announced With Brand New Trailer
The developers rocked up with a full-fledged trailer for Octopath Traveler 0 at today’s Nintendo Direct event, highlighting some story details of the upcoming title along with glimpses of gameplay. Towards the end of the trailer, Square Enix also provided players with the most requested detail, the title’s release date. Interested readers can check out the trailer for OT 0 below.
The Octopath Traveler 0 announcement trailer shows players leave on a brand new journey. Players will be tasked with rebuilding a town burned by flames, while finding the culprits reponsible. The trailer also reveals that the gameplay and art style of the series have been retained in the upcoming instalment. More details about OT 0 will be revealed closer to release.
