After days of rumor and speculation, Nintendo has announced its next Nintendo Direct event for September 14.
Airing at 10 am ET, the latest direct will feature “roughly 40 minutes of information focused on Nintendo Switch games releasing this winter.”
As far as what’s going to be shown, that’s more up in the air. A look at the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC should be expected, along with possibly a new look at the Super Mario RPG remake. Other rumors are circulating of a new Donkey Kong game or the return of F-Zero. None of that is confirmed, however, so take those rumors with a grain of salt.

Also, if you were hoping to see something on the next Nintendo Switch console, that’s highly unlikely to happen during this event. All signs continue to point to a 2024 reveal and release of Nintendo’s next console.
