New Tomb Raider Game To Be Open World, It’s Claimed

The next Tomb Raider game is in development, and a new claim has some early information about the game.

According to V Scooper, a Twitter user with a history of past scoops, the next Tomb Raider will be a “fully open world” game. In addition to the open world, the game will be set in India.

“Featuring vast sceneries, free use of the motorcycle, parachute, and common Lara’s traversal methods to unrestrictedly navigate across a big map and its challenges,” they said in their post.

They doubled down on the claims saying that more information on the new game should be coming “soon”. Lastly, they said that the game “suppose to release in less than a year if there are no delays. But this is totally not locked.”

As always, none of this information has been verified by Insider Gaming or officially confirmed. Until then, take the information with a grain of salt. Still, an open world Tomb Raider game sounds like it could add new life into a franchise that found a rebirth with it’s latest trilogy.

What do you think of the new Tomb Raider game being open world and set in India? Let us know in the comments.

  • So erm basically a FarCry game?
Actually that sounds pretty good a Crying Shame in the Far Tombs
    Lol
Bit of climbing, exploring etc could be good.

  • Sounds to be another soulless open world experience, same as 90% of other open world games. It could be one of the good ones, but the chances are small.

Open World has become synonymous with “lazy and empty world”.

  • Meh, they’ve Ruined that franchise, and turned it into just another opened world shooter with rpg elements. That’s all tomb raider is now.
