11 new Mega Evolution forms have been added to Pokémon Champions with the Regulation M-B update, revealing the abilities of many new Pokémon.

The format of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where all of the new additions to Pokémon Champions debuted, meant that there were no Abilities in the game. Therefore, newly-added Mega Evolution Pokémon in the game had their Abilities hidden until now.

The table below showcases all of the newly added Mega Evolution Pokémon to Pokémon Champions in Regulation M-B, and their in-game abilities, with thanks to Serebii.

What Mega Pokémon Abilities Are Brand New?

Eelevate and Fire Mane are the two brand-new abilities in Pokémon Champions, available exclusively for Mega Eelektross and Mega Pyroar respectively.

While both abilities could be added to other Pokémon in future generations of the game, the specifics of the name indicates the plans to keep them exclusive for the respective Pokémon, particularly as other existing Abilities have the same effects.

Eelevate is Mega Eelektross’ form of the Levitate ability, which has exactly the same benefits. Meanwhile, the 50% boost to Fire-type moves from Mega Emboar’s Fire Mane ability is the same as the boost from the Blaze ability.

However, the big difference with Blaze compared to Fire Mane is the latter is always active, whereas Blaze only activates if the Pokémon has less than 1/3 of its maximum HP remaining.
