New Nintendo Switch Bundle Launching, Rumor Claims

A new Nintendo Switch bundle is on the way, so says a notable leaker.

According to prominent leaker billbil-kun on Twitter, Nintendo is planning on releasing a new Switch bundle to coincide with Mario day (March 10) this year. Billbil-kun states that the bundle will include three main pieces: a Switch console with red joy-cons, a digital code for Super Mario Odyssey, and “something related to the upcoming Super Mario movie”.

Pricing-wise, he says it’s looking like a price of approximately €269, which likely puts it around $299 USD.

With The Super Mario Bros. Movie releasing in April, Nintendo jumping on the hype train for one of its largest first-party franchises only makes sense. That said, there will be a time when fans tire of new bundles of the existing console. As time passes, fans will start to clamor more and more for a brand-new Nintendo Switch. However, the company has gone on record saying that more games are in development and that the system isn’t ready to sunset despite being six years old.

Insider Gaming did reach out to Nintendo for comment about a new Switch bundle. A representative from the company said that Nintendo “doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation”.

What do you think of a new Nintendo Switch bundle?
