New Astro Game Announcement Coming In Next Two Weeks, It’s Claimed

A new Astro game is in development at Sony by Team Asobi, and an announcement is expected to come over the next two weeks.

According to reliable data miner billbil-kun, he is of the relief that the game will simply be called “Astro Bot”. He adds that the official announcement of the new game “should be made within 15 days”.

“Among the other information we have obtained, it seems that part of the game will be playable in an environment located in the heart of a desert,” he said. “One of the new characters in this game would be a fennec in the form of a robot sharing some similarities with Astro.”

He adds that a release date and official platforms are currently unknown. However, he believes the game will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and not to PS VR2.

The last Astro Bot game, Astro’s Playroom, was released in 2020 and came pre-installed on every PlayStation 5. It was a game that served as a free tech demo, of sorts, for Sony’s new console and new DualSense controller.
