MrBeast Stresses He Is ‘Dying Mentally’ From Making Videos

MrBeast is one of the most instantly recognisable faces in content creation – and perhaps outside of that world, too. He’s a phenomenal personality who has been creating ambitious content for several years, proving through bizarre experiments and philanthropic ventures that he’s one of the most innovative, unique creators in history.

His escapades have earned him a net worth of around $500 million, much of which he invests back into his content, his many brands and subsidiaries, and his team. However, in recent days, MrBeast – real name Jimmy Donaldson – took to Twitter to share that he’s ‘dying mentally’ from the effort he’s putting into making videos.

It Can Become Too Much

Bizarrely, MrBeast’s rise to fame was kicked off when he uploaded a video that quickly went viral back in 2017, showing him counting to 100,000 – which took forty hours. He has been uploading to YouTube since 2012, but it took a few years for him to see considerable success, and from there, the train never slowed down.

He now has 179 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 30 billion all-time views.

In a recent tweet, MrBeast revealed how taxing this lifestyle has been on his mental health, stressing that he’s ‘dying mentally’ from filming content every single day. He claimed that since 2023 began, he and his team have filmed content every single day and that he is ‘pushing himself to the max’ to get the content pushed out to the platform.

Recently, MrBeast broke a stunning record by becoming the most-viewed video in a 24-hour window outside of the music category. He netted more than 46 million views on a single video in a 24-hour period, which is staggering. That’s the typical going rate for MrBeast these days, who despite his tweet, shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Are you a fan of MrBeast? Do you think he needs to take a break?
