• They should just close NRS down

• Heartless comment. There are people with families working there

• The people who work there don’t have families most of them can’t afford to live in the city of Chicago which has its own problems and they are forced to share rundown apartments together because they can’t afford rent otherwise. Ed Boon and others on his pay grade are the only ones that are paid well enough meanwhile others are not and put through strenuous conditions. The work place is horrible too and because the FGC and influencers are so bias towards NRS nothing is done about it. People shouldn’t need therapy after making a video game only to have to make the same game again, they should be sexually assaulted in the workplace, they shouldn’t be mocked, and they shouldn’t have adult sized children for bosses who spend more time on social media than they do running the studio. This would be a blessing shutting down NRS the people not being paid well would find work elsewhere in a safe environment unlike what NRS is and hopefully not in the toxic FGC again. WB doesn’t need to have studios in Chicago or California it’s too expensive they already have Montreal,
  UK, and Redmond.

• It could be coming sooner rather than later and with WB wanting to keep the NBA rights they need to make more cuts don’t forget they lost a ton from the gaming division. Writing off movies like Mortal Kombat 2 could also be in the realm of possibilities.

• Hopefully they didn’t sign any NDA they need to reveal how horrible the working conditions at the studio are and how horrible leadership is

• Yeah I’ve heard people like Ed are horrible to work for. He’s not the only one tough over there that’s a problem. If anyone wants to come forward now would be the time during EVO. The sexual harassment, toxic work environment, crunch, mental abuse, and then Ed’s obsession with social media and being a man child troll.

• They might want to get to work on a new game since MK1 is dead it flopped. Learn Unreal 5 quick and make a game.

• It’s too late it would take too long and people are tired of MK and IJ has been dormant for too long. Making MK1 was a huge mistake.

• They can’t Ed Boon is an idiot. WB will probably close them down before they get to make a new game. If they had made Injustice 3 they would have been in a better place content creators could post it and DC would have something decent for fans unlike the L train they’ve had running through right now.

• Don’t they have less than 100 people working there? This is like almost half of their staff. I’m guessing this isn’t just the mobile division. They took forever with MK1 and the DLC has been slow too imagine how much slower it will be.

• This is the beginning of the end of the studio. Microsoft might hire them to make fighting games they have offices nearby.

• For those who don’t know Mortal Kombat 1 was supposed to be Injustice 3 but Ed pushed to make Mortal Kombat instead which resulted in a longer dev cycle to retool the game. In the end it was bad and Ed wasted money getting Jean Claude and Megan Fox among the guest characters no one is playing. With Kevin Conroy gone and more staff gone the chances of Injustice 3 are done it would take too long and doing the multiverse story again is not a smart move it would work for Injustice if they didn’t do it here first and so poorly not to mention not do what fans wanted. Mortal Kombat should have honored the PS2 era relied mostly on those characters and gameplay styles the biggest things being no kameos and of course Konquest mode. Shujinko could have been the main or Kai and of course Onaga as the big bad everyone wanted. They also ruined Reiko in Mortal Kombat 1 and the females being butt ugly too.

• Someone ask Ed Boon what this means? Does it hurt MK1? Also he mentioned multiple pots on the stove was this the other pot because he walks back making a new game saying it’s still too soon? It’s confusing to fans.

• Luckily this is just the mobile side these devs ain’t got nothing to worry about cause they would only get what they are asking for mobile mk ain’t a stable job its a cash grabs for people that live in poor countries that can’t afford consoles if u know someone who plays mobile mk unfriend them in real life and give them a reality check.

  If the article read that MK sold a billion copies people would talk about how great it is and they are all a geniuses at the company.
  When they read of layoffs they discuss all the bad things they hear without any facts. You people are crazy.

• I hope you guys go to SDCC to press Ed Boon ask him about this and how far away Injustice 3 is or if it’s being made also he teased other games ask about those. Killer Instinct vs Mortal Kombat, Marvel game, DC vs Marvel, kaiju game, and Def Jam ask if they’re making those Ed mentions having “multiple pots on the stove” he mentioned last year they would start work on their next game.
