Mortal Kombat 1 Adding Homelander & Ferra Kameo in June

In a new post on Twitter/X, Ed Boon announced that Homelander is officially coming to Mortal Kombat 1 on June 4, 2024, with early access.

This announcement was joined by a new gameplay trailer. This also revealed that fans can purchase the Premium Edition or Kombat Pack to gain early access to Homelander.

In addition to Homelander, purchasing the Kombat Pack will include Quan Chi, Ermac, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Takeda.

Boon added that a Ferra Kameo is also coming “later in June.” However, there is currently no concrete release date for the Ferra Kameo.

The most recent addition to Mortal Kombat 1 was Ermac, who the devs revealed last April. Ermac was available with early access on April 16, while the full release didn’t launch until April 23.

So, fans can likely expect the same kind of pacing for the Homelander release. This may also extend to the Ferra Kameo, compared to the Mavado Kameo released soon after Ermac.

Today’s trailer showcases a variety of Homelander’s key moves, as well as a particularly brutal fatality and delightful voice lines. Homelander has remained a fan favorite character from The Boys, and one of the most anticipated additions to the Mortal Kombat 1 roster.

Mortal Kombat also added a crucial “krossplay” update in late February, an overdue feature that fans widely praised.
