The countdown to the release of the Ascended Heroes Pokémon TCG set is ramping up, and more the the secret rares likely to be included in the set have been revealed in Japan.
Pokémon TCG’s Ascended Heroes set will be made up from two Japanese releases: the already available Mega Dream ex, and the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, due to release on Friday, and more reveals from the latter have surfaced.
Japan Start Deck 100 Battle Collection Secret Rares Revealed
As reported by Pokebeach, the secret rares available in the Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection have been revealed ahead of Friday’s release, showcasing a bunch of hits that are expected to be included in the Pokémon TCG Ascended Heroes set.
Several of the Art Rares have already been showcased in high definition, but the reveal stream showed off a bunch of SARs to chase down, including some for Mega Meganium, Mega Feraligatr, and Mega Emboar.
A new Lillie’s Clefairy is also set to be introduced, following on from the SIR introduced in Journey Together earlier this year, and the chase cards could actually be easier to pull in the English set.
The Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection contains a whopping 742 cards in the main set, the majority of which are reprints, and each deck contains one of 100 60-card theme decks, but you won’t know which deck you’ve pulled until the box is ripped open.
Hits of Art Rares or SARs are not guaranteed, however, so hunting down the chase cards will be tricky, although the decks do have an affordable price of around $6.
As is often the case with the transfer to English sets, some cards may be saved to feature as promos in specific products, and some may be held back for future releases, too.
