MLB The Show 24 Announced, Features Vladimir Guerrero Jr. On Cover

Sony San Diego has officially announced MLB The Show 24 will launch on March 19 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The game will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.

Gracing the cover of this year’s game is Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He becomes the second Toronto Blue Jays player to be featured on the cover after Josh Donaldson was the cover athlete for MLB The Show 16. He also joins is father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., as the first father-son duo to be featured on the game’s cover.

“We always look for great baseball players with interesting stories to tell,” Sony San Diego’s Ramone Russell said. “We also want to partner with great people with fun personalities who genuinely enjoy playing MLB The Show.

He continued: “Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is a great baseball player and embodies the sport’s best qualities, as fans saw during his Home Run Derby win last July. He loves the game, comes from a baseball family, and giving back to his community is very important. These factors and others made Vladimir Guerrero Jr. the right choice for this year’s cover athlete.”

Sony has yet to announce the full feature list for MLB The Show 24, but says the information will be coming soon. Next on the list is the reveal of the game’s Collector’s Edition on February 6.
