It is always a good day when you find out one of your favourite games from back in the day is getting a remake. With technology and game development being so much more advanced than it was 20 years ago, seeing your favourite world remastered can be breathtaking.
One classic video game that is getting a remake is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The remake, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is already gaining quite the hype, as the original game was released back in 2004.
Here is everything we know as of now about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
When Will Metal Gear Solid Delta Release?
The biggest question is when will Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater be released? The game was originally announced in May of 2023 at the PlayStation Showcase. Fans immediately were ecstatic for the remake, considering the original came out two decades ago.
So when exactly does the remake hit the market? Well, as of now, there is no definitive release date. We do know, though, that Konami hopes to have the game out sometime in 2024.
A release date this broad could mean absolutely nothing, making it easy for the developers to push back the game if they have to, but hopefully, they stick by their announcement and give us some more Snake action in 2024.
For now, though, gamers will have to wait patiently for any more information regarding a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta.
What Platforms Will Metal Gear Solid Delta Be On?
As of now, the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake will only be playable on three consoles. Those who will be able to play the game are PS5 players, Xbox Series X/S players and PC players. The popular action-adventure stealth game will sadly not be available for Nintendo Switch and Mobile players.
This does not mean that the game will not eventually come out for other platforms, though. With rumours of the Switch 2 coming out in early 2025, we could see the game get a port to the popular handheld console.
The game will still serve a large majority of creators, though, as the PS5, Xbox and PC still conquer the gaming scene.

What Will Metal Gear Solid Delta be Rated?
While the remake currently does not have a rating, the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has a rating of M for Mature. The majority of Metal Gear Solid games are rated M so it wouldn’t be unlikely that Metal Gear Solid Delta will be the same.
The original game’s M rating warned gamers that the game included intense violence, blood and gore, language and sexual themes. Unless the remake decides to stray away from being true to the original, it will probably also be rated M for Mature.
Do remember, that while Metal Gear Solid games revolve around stealth, they also revolve around a lot of action and killing.
Will Metal Gear Solid Delta be Multiplayer?
Multiplayer/co-op games are a hit within the gaming community. Nothing beats being able to sit down with a buddy or two and explore a world together. Still, though, many single-player games are just as eventful and adventurous.
There is something about playing a game alone that truly pulls you into the game’s world and atmosphere. Metal Gear Solid Delta, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, will be a single-player action-adventure game, and that is it.
For those looking for a multiplayer experience, you will have to look elsewhere. Metal Gear Solid has always been a single-player adventure. Its continuous storyline, characters and world are meant to be explored by oneself.
Snake fights on a very stealthy basis, making it make sense to always have the game be single-player.
Additional Information on the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake
As of now, there isn’t too much more to expand on about the Metal Gear Solid Delta game. The remake, being developed by Konami, is being made in Unreal Engine 5, which has given fans a load of excitement. The game being more than just a remaster is setting it up for a world of success.
Hopefully, the game will be released sometime during the year and won’t get pushed back to 2025 or later.
