Insomniac has announced that players will receive a free suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, inspired by the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In 2024, Insomniac confirmed that they do not plan to release any additional story content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, unlike their previous title. However, they have kept players engaged with a variety of cosmetics and game improvements. There is a new announcement, it won’t be any story DLC, but players can enjoy a new suit introduced just in time for the upcoming movie.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Free Brand New Day Suit is Called ‘Fresh Start’
The developers announced the release of a new free suit for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day, through a post on their official X account (formerly Twitter). The new suit is called “Fresh Start” and will be available for PS5 and PC players through an in-game update scheduled to arrive on July 28, just days before the release of the upcoming movie. Tom Holland is seen wearing this suit in the movie’s latest trailer.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to release on July 31 and introduces players to a brand-new story featuring Peter Parker. Following the events of the previous film, everyone has forgotten who Spider-Man and Peter Parker are, leaving the friendly neighborhood superhero feeling isolated. To make matters worse, he seems to be losing control of his powers.
Fans will also see the arrival of characters like Bruce Banner and Frank Castle as they come to Peter’s aid in the face of a new threat. With this upcoming update, players will have the opportunity to suit up like the character in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, allowing them to experience what it feels like to be in Peter’s shoes as he navigates this latest adventure.
