It has been announced at PlayStation’s State of Play that Marvel Rivals will be coming to consoles. Previously, the game was only confirmed to be coming to Steam.
NetEase Games is developing a new Superhero Team-Based PVP Shooter that will be released later this year.
“Assemble an all-star Marvel squad, devise countless strategies by combining powers to form unique Team-Up skills and fight in destructible, ever-changing battlefields across the continually evolving Marvel universe”, the games description reads.
It continues, “Choose from a vast array of fan-favorite and cult-classic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and many more from across the Marvel Multiverse.”
It’s currently unclear on when the game will officially be released, but recent playtests show that the game is essentially Marvel’s take on Overwatch. Gameplay of Marvel Rivals leaked online earlier this month.
