Mario’s New Voice Actor Has Been Revealed

Mario’s (and Luigi’s) voice actor has been revealed – by the actor himself – in a tweet posted just minutes ago. In a short but sweet statement, Kevin Afghani confirmed that is responsible for the vocal talents that fleshed out both Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which will be released next week, on October 20th.

Afghani only boasts a few acting credits – one of which being a notable character in Genshin Impact – but fans who are familiar with his work have already spoken positively about the news.


A New Era

Earlier this year, Charles Martinet stepped back from voicing iconic characters such as Mario, Wario, and Waluigi after almost thirty years of doing so. Instead, he’s assumed the role of ‘brand ambassador’ for Nintendo, a role with a purpose that he didn’t fully understand.
