Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 Release Date

After revealing it during the latest Nintendo Direct, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 release date has been officially announced.

“Pump up those tires, Wave 5 is almost here,” Nintendo says. “Eight additional courses and three returning characters come to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass on July 12th.”

The three returning characters to the game are Petey Piranha from Mario Kart Double Dash, Kamek from Mario Kart Tour, and Wiggler from Mario Kart 7.

The eight courses are as follows:

  • Squeaky Clean Sprint (New)
  • Koopa Cape (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Los Angeles Laps (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Moonview Highway (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Athens Dash (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Daisy Cruiser (Mario Kart Double Dash)
  • Sunset Wilds (Mario Kart Super Circuit)
  • Vancouver Velocity (Mario Kart Tour)

With Wave 5 set to release, there is just one more wave to come later this year. It’s unclear if Nintendo is planning more Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC in the future or if this is the end of the line for major updates to the long-running kart racer.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass features 48 DLC tracks and numerous characters across the six waves. Priced at $24.99, those who subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack get the DLC included.
