Lumines Arise Gets November Release Date, Limited-Time Demo

Lumines Arise is coming to PlayStation 5 in late November, with a free demo available now. The puzzle title, known for its addictive gameplay and inspired visuals, has thrilled audiences since 2004. Now, the next generation of the series is here and coming sooner than you’d expect.

At Summer Game Fest, where Lumines Arise was revealed, many journalists raved about the title. Many, like Polygon, even went as far as to call it the best there, beating out games like Ninja Gaiden 4 and Pragmata. So, it’s no surprise that many are looking forward to the new title. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait too much longer.

Lumines Arise Launches on November 11th Alongside Free Demo

In a blog post from PlayStation Blog, series producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi announced the official release for Lumines Arise: November 11th, 2025. In addition to the announcement, a free, limited-time demo of the game is available today for players to try on PlayStation 5, as well as Steam. Currently, the demo will be available until September 3rd. In it, you’ll be able to try three single-player stages, as well as some of the multiplayer mode Burst Battle.

The last entry in the Lumines series, Lumines Remastered, was released in 2018, so it’s been seven years since we last saw it. Hopefully, the positive buzz from Summer Game Fest and the demo will be helpful for the game. Still, if puzzle and cool visuals are your thing, you should definitely give Lumines Arise a try before the demo period ends on September 3rd.
