KT Rolster has been condemned to the LCK Play-Ins after a 1-2 loss to T1 in the LCK Regular Season in the Telecom War contest.
The victory keeps T1’s hopes of a top-two finish in the LCK alive with one contest left for Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok and the T1 boys, against MSI 2026 winners HLE.
KT Rolster cast adrift from LCK elite rosters
The defeat meant that KT are no longer capable of finishing anywhere but fifth place in the Legends Group of the LCK, last place amongst the top five teams of the LCK.
The Legends Group has been extremely tightly contested for much of the season, with each team providing upset wins in Rounds 3-4 of the LCK, but KT has, in recent times, lagged behind the LCK’s elite.
Winning two series in the split against HLE and T1, KT has 0-2 series record against both Gen.G and Dplus KIA in the split, resulting in Dplus KIA overtaking KT Rolster in the standings and losing out on a place in the LCK playoffs.
KT Rolster finished the LCK Regular Season with a 15-11 overall record, but a 2-6 record in Rounds 3-4.
LCK Play-Ins await KT Rolster
The T1 result means that KT Rolster will have to contest the LCK Play-Ins, where four teams will fight for the final two spots in the LCK Playoffs.
The Worlds 2025 Grand Finalists will be paired against the winner of Group Rise, the top finisher of the lower five LCK teams.
Currently, BNK FEARX reside in that spot, with one contest left to play against Nongshim RedForce in the final match of the LCK Regular Season.
BNK and BRO hold 10-15 and 10-16 overall records, with Nongshim closely behind at 9-16.
DRX and KeSPA Cup 2026 winners, DNS, are out of contention after finishing in the bottom two of the Rise Group.
