Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will officially launch in 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developer Warhorse Studios held the reveal for the game on Thursday, confirming the game, it’s launch platforms, and release window.
In addition to the platforms and release date, a full trailer and deep dive was released by the studio. In it, players get a first look at the game’s visuals, setting, and learn more about what to expect in the follow-up to 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
“Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a thrilling Action RPG, set amid the chaos of a civil war in 15th Century Bohemia,” the game’s description reads. “You are Henry of Skalitz – an ordinary man doing extraordinary things – caught in a gripping tale of revenge, betrayal and discovery as he embarks on an epic journey, ‘from a humble blacksmith’s forge to the court of Kings’, as he searches for purpose in this beautiful but brutal medieval world.”
“What we are making now is what it was supposed to be in the beginning, but we weren’t able to do it because we didn’t have enough resources or experience,” creative director Daniel Vavra said. “Now we can take it to another level which we always wanted.
“The game is much bigger in scope. The original game we had three hours of cutscenes, now we have more than five. Regarding the size of the world, it’s two times bigger than it was.”
The game’s launch window was spoiled on Wednesday night after a video on IGN confirmed the game and launch platforms.
