Behind the Scenes Video Dives into Kingdom Come 2’s Reveal

Warhorse Studios has released a new deep-dive into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, showcasing how the grand and regal reveal was pieced together at the start of 2024. In April, Warhorse lifted the lid on KCD2, unveiling an ambitious follow-on from the 2018 title that turned heads after surfacing as a Kickstarter-backed product built by a small but passionate team.

This year’s reveal of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 showed just how far things have progressed. With a cinematic and stunning video, Warhorse Studios filled the hearts of fans of the franchise with a fresh sense of anticipation for this upcoming open-world RPG title.

In the new making-of video, Warhorse’s marketing team explores the unique reveal of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, covering everything from the seeds of the project to the ultimate delivery. It’s a telling walkthrough of the magic that went into this stellar reveal, which transcended being ‘just a new trailer’ and lodged itself firmly in the memory of fans worldwide.

Here’s the new making-of video:

Recently, I had the opportunity to catch up with Tom McKay, the actor behind Henry of Skalitz, the main character in 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance and the frontman for the follow-up title, which is due to be released later this year.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 follows directly from the end of the first title, plunging players into an expansive and detailed map and leaving them to their own devices. With a multi-angled story, survival mechanics, thousands of dialogue options, and some of the most intense combat in gaming history, Kingdom Come presents the ultimate medieval adventure for any player.
