How to Kill Zombies Fast for Zombie Annihilator in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

As part of the rather long list of available trophies/achievements for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you must kill tens of thousands of zombies to achieve Zombie Annihilator. It’s one of the most long-winded achievements in the game, taking hours to accomplish. But you can make the task easier by knowing where and how best to farm zombies. Here’s a guide on how to unlock the achievement!

To unlock the Zombie Annihilator achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you must kill 53,594 zombies. Now, that’s a lot of zombies. I have many tens of hours in the game to this point, and I’ve only just surpassed 1,000 kills. But hey, I’ve focused on finding every item, looking for secrets, and completing the various cases. If you put your nose to the grindstone, you can score tens of thousands of zombie kills in a relatively reasonable amount of time.

Here are a few tips to help you score the necessary kills to achieve Zombie Annihilator:

  • While the entirety of the Willamette Mall is overrun with the undead, the North Plaza appears to be one of the best sectors for this achievement as far as zombie density goes. You’ll find hundreds of zombies roaming the construction-riddled hallway of the northernmost section of the mall.
  • Score a Katana or Chainsaw to deal with large swathes of zombies quickly. You can use the Chainsaw to mow down an entire horde without stopping, and the Katana is lightning-quick, making it ideal for moving fast and clearing hallways before the zombies respawn on your return trip.
  • In Leisure Park, once you reach the afternoon of the first day, the convicts will spawn with their jeep and machine gun. If you can take them down and steal said vehicle, you can run down the small hordes of zombies that spawn in the outdoor expanse.

Is There a Reward for Completing Zombie Annihilator?

For accomplishing what is one of the toughest feats in the game, you’ll receive the Mega Buster—a power cannon that deals 1,000 to 1,500 damage per shot but only comes with 300 uses total. Thanks to a recent commenter for clearing up the reward for Zombie Annihilator!

That said, if you’d like some recognition, feel free to tag me on social media. I’ll happily shout you out!
