In a new report by IGN, fans learned more details about the characters, locations, dinosaurs, and release window for Jurassic Park: Survival.
The report includes details from an internal Q&A. It features some compelling new information from Universal Products & Experiences’ John Melchior, and Saber Interactive’s Oliver Hollis-Leick.
Saber Interactive first announced Jurassic Park: Survival at The Game Awards 2023 with a polished reveal trailer. However, the trailer had an ambiguous ending with no release date or window. According to IGN’s new report, Melchior and Hollis-Leick confirmed that “the game won’t be out in 2024.”
Today’s report also mentions that Jurassic Park: Survival will feature new locations that “were not part of the tour or got cut off by the storm.”
Hollis-Leick stated there will be “new characters,” implying there wil be others in addition to the protagonist. They also hinted there could be new dinosaurs that did not appear in the original film, but confirmed nothing.
Hollis-Leick also revealed that players will “need to use caution and planning” to explore different terrain on the island. At times, they will also have to “move very carefully through an environment to avoid the attention of certain predators.”
This hints at dinosaurs potentially having unique behavior, stealth, and making strategic decisions.
Jurassic Park: Survival will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
