If you choose not to skip Chapter 1 while exploring Nibelheim, you can visit Tifa’s childhood home, where you’ll find an old piano in her room on the second story. You’ll note the interact icon, allowing you to sit down and play via a minigame. But is there a piano reward for doing so in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
What’s the Piano Reward in Chapter 1 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
The earliest instance of the piano in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is in the Lockheart Residence in Nebelheim, where Cloud and Tifa grew up. It’s on the second floor, in Tifa’s childhood bedroom, and you can sit down to play and learn the minigame if you want. However, there is no piano reward for showing your musical prowess during the game’s prologue chapter.
That said, I do recommend practicing. Of the many minigames in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, playing the piano is undoubtedly one of the more challenging endeavors. But if you practice now in the prologue, by the time you hit Costa del Sol, you’ll be a master of your craft!

Does Playing Piano Reward You in the Game?
You will receive rewards for playing piano in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but it doesn’t happen until Chapter 6. Then, you must achieve an A Rank when playing to receive Tifa’s Theme and other sheet music throughout the game world. It’s said that players will also receive a small to medium amount of Gil for achieving a high rank while playing the piano. An NPC may even give you a few consumables for your adventures!
