Is Star Wars Outlaws Coming to Game Pass? – Answered

Depending on how often you play new video games, paying for a monthly subscription service to test out new releases is generally cheaper before pulling the trigger. It’s a fantastic way to remain informed and try the games you’re on the fence about. With that in mind, is Star Wars Outlaws coming to Game Pass?

Will Star Wars Outlaws Hit Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Star Wars Outlaws is unavailable on Game Pass and won’t launch on the subscription service on day one. If you’re waiting to try the game before spending $69.99, the only way to pay less is by subscribing to Ubisoft + Premium, which costs $17.99/month. Of course, you can cancel after paying for a month and then try Star Wars Outlaws for yourself. If you’d rather wait, Ubisoft occasionally launches games on Game Pass eventually. It’s just a matter of when! It’s likely wise to play the open-world Star Wars game on a subscription service first, seeing as the Ultimate Edition, with all content, is available to buy for $129.99. It’s a staggering price increase!

Why is Star Wars Outlaws so Expensive?

I know you’re probably thinking the same, especially now that you know Star Wars Outlaws on Xbox Game Pass isn’t likely to happen straight away. That is if it happens at all. But with Ubisoft charging $129.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which includes numerous in-game bundles and early access to the game, people have a right to be both appalled and curious simultaneously. Why isn’t Star Wars Outlaws, which, yes, is quite expensive, launching on Game Pass? It’s because Ubisoft hopes to compete with Xbox in the monthly subscription market, and they’re hoping you sign up for Ubisoft+. But as to the overall price of the game and its various editions, we’re talking about the first-ever open-world Star Wars game, and with the rising cost of game development as a whole, Ubisoft wants to not only earn back its investments but turn a profit, of course!

What Systems is Star Wars Outlaws Releasing On?

While Star Wars Outlaws won’t launch on Game Pass on release day, it’s available on a wide range of systems so that you can score your third-person, open-world Star Wars fix. You can play Outlaws on:
  • PC
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PlayStation 5
It’s a massive game, with space flight and dogfighting, an open world to explore, quests to complete, and shootouts to win; as such, it’s unlikely Star Wars Outlaws will launch on older systems, like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.
