Is Daredevil Coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 4? Lore & Hints, Explained

A new content drop is never too far away in Marvel Rivals, and the countdown is now on to Season 4, with plenty of speculation that Daredevil will be introduced as a new playable character.

Season 4 in Marvel Rivals is expected to arrive on September 12, though that date is yet to be officially confirmed, and is the second season to adopt the new calendar of introducing a new hero every four weeks, and an entirely new season every eight weeks.

With details of the new season on the horizon, plenty of fan theories point towards Daredevil being introduced to Marvel Rivals. Here, we’ve explained what we know and all the hints that are present.

At the time of writing, Daredevil is not confirmed to be coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 4, and announcements for the season are yet to be made.

However, the Man without Fear has long been touted for a release in the game, with dataminers uncovering details that suggest he is on the plans for some point in the future. Given that Marvel Rivals has the characters planned out for the next year, however, it’s impossible to nail down an exact release date.

With Season 4 in Marvel Rivals rapidly approaching, players have been keeping a close eye on the lore throughout the ongoing season, and there have been some major hints.

Daredevil Marvel Rivals Lore & Hints, Explained

Big hints towards Daredevil can be found in the lore pages from Marvel Rivals Season 3.5, where Blade defeats Hela as the Queen in Black.

Hela is said to have escaped to the Eighth City, a likely hint towards the mystical realm of K’un Lun, where she met Dizang—shown in the lore pages as a shadowy figure with glowing eyes and devil-like horns.

Dizang’s speech also heavily leans on religion, with phrases including “I’ve seen my fair share of devils,” “cast out of heaven,” “God’s retribution,” and “amends for my sins.” Religion is a huge part of Matt Murdock’s character, so they could all be subtle hints at the arrival of the Man Without Fear.

The mysterious character is also said to hear Hela’s heartbeat, perhaps hinting at Daredevil’s enhanced senses following the accident that left him blind, so there are plenty of signs pointing toward Daredevil.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean Daredevil will arrive immediately as a playable character, even if he is revealed to be the mysterious Dizang. Blade, for example, played a huge role in the lore of Season 1, but only made the debut as a playable character in Season 3.5.

Either way, it certainly seems like Daredevil is coming.
