With Xbox’s recent stance on launching its titles elsewhere, like on PlayStation 5, many fans hoped to see additional upcoming titles coming to Sony’s console. More specifically, they want Avowed on PS5. So, is it happening?
Is Avowed Releasing on PlayStation 5?
Unfortunately, Avowed isn’t coming to PS5—at least not initially. That could change in the future, as we saw titles such as Grounded and Sea of Thieves launch post-release on PlayStation 5, and they did exceptionally well with the console’s community. Plus, we know that Doom: The Dark Ages, an upcoming first-person shooter from the long-running franchise, is coming to PS5 simultaneously. It leaves room for other exciting titles!

Will Avowed Release on Xbox Game Pass?
I know that if you play on PlayStation 5, you’re likely upset at the news that Avowed isn’t coming to your favorite system. However, you’re in luck if you play video games on a PC or know someone with an Xbox Series X|S. Avowed launches on Xbox Game Pass simultaneously with the full release, meaning you can enjoy the upcoming RPG for a few bucks per month!
Of course, there’s nothing quite like owning your game. Perhaps one day, Obsidian’s RPG will come to PlayStation consoles!
