Insomniac Confirms Small Detail About Wolverine Game

With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 out now on PlayStation 5, the focus for Insomniac Games has seemingly started to shift over to its Wolverine game.

The game was first announced back at the PlayStation Showcase 2021 with a short teaser, and has been on the minds of fans ever since.

In an interview with Kinda Funny on Friday, Spider-Man 2 director Bryan Intihar was asked about the game, and he confirmed a small detail about both Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine. The two games, do in fact, share the same universe.

“They’re all [Earth] 1048,” Intihar said. “I think I got that right.”

As far as Wolverine in Spider-Man 2, Intihar says that was by design.

“There was a decision not to do it,” he said about not having Wolverine featured in the game. “For us, I think it’s just let’s let that team cook, and let them make the game they want to make.”

Marvel Wolverine is a PlayStation 5 exclusive. A release date has yet to be revealed, but more information is hopefully coming sometime in 2024.
