Where To Fix Weapons in STALKER 2
Let’s say you’ve been out in The Zone for several hours, gunning down all manner of mutants and human enemies alike, and now your weapon is showing a little wear and tear.
Where do you go to fix your gun?
Unfortunately, you can’t fix your weapon in the field, so you must monitor your weapon’s condition and ensure you carry a backup gun – or several. Thankfully, it’s easy to repair weapons in STALKER 2, but it might run you up a considerable bill.
When you reach a safe hub like Zalissya or the Slag Heap, you’ll be introduced to a technician who can fix your weapons for a fee. In Zalissya, that individual is Lens, for instance. To repair your weapons in STALKER 2, you simply need to find one of these technicians and pay some Coupons to have your guns fixed back to full health.
This is the same for any equipment that suffers from degradation, such as gas masks and outfits.
How much does it cost to fix guns in STALKER 2?
It depends entirely on the weapon, the level of degradation, and how much you’ve upgraded that gun. If it’s an all-singing, all-dancing weapon sitting on 10% health, it’ll cost thousands of Coupons to fix it.
How to complete ‘Taking it for Granted’ in STALKER 2
There’s a good reason to let at least one weapon break in STALKER 2. If you use a gun until it breaks beyond all repair, you’ll unlock the ‘Taking it for Granted’ achievement. To do this, simply use something cheap like a PTM pistol until it completely breaks down. It’ll take a while, but it’s an easy, passive achievement to unlock in STALKER 2.
How to stop weapons breaking in STALKER 2
You can’t stop weapons from breaking entirely, but you can slow down their degradation rate. This is accomplished by visiting a technician and applying an upgrade that reduces the ‘wear and tear’ speed on the weapon.
That’s everything you need to know about how to repair weapons in STALKER 2 – have fun exploring The Zone!
