How To Complete ‘The Dark Below’ Quest In Highguard

Highguard is the latest addition to the hero-shooter scene, and if you’re looking for a good place to start, you should consider checking out the in-game Quests.

At launch, there’s one Quest for you to work through, titled ‘The Dark Below.’ Just one Quest might sound lacklustre, but it has some pretty lengthy steps to work through, and it should see you through nicely until the next batch is added—but don’t take too long, it won’t be there forever.

Read on to find out how you can complete The Dark Below Questline in Highguard, as well as how long you have to finish it.

There are six steps to complete The Dark Below Questline, with the seventh being the overall completion reward.

It’s always a welcome sign when multiplayer shooters have some in-game progression to work through, and if this Quest is anything to go by, Highguard should be keeping its player base busy.

Although there are only six challenges to work through, they have some hefty demands, especially this early in the game. From getting 25 kills in a single match to winning 20 matches altogether, it’s a decent mix of challenges to aim for as you play through Highguard.

Here’s the list of Quests you’ll need to complete for The Dark Below in Highguard:

Whilst it’s not explicitly obvious, Quests in Highguard are time-restricted, as they only run for an Episode.

Episodes are Highguard’s take on the common ‘Seasons’ trope often found in other live-service titles. A new Episode will bring with it new Wardens, Maps, and Weapons, but it appears that new Quests are also on the cards.

When it comes to The Dark Below, you’ll have until the end of Episode One to complete it. Judging by the 2026 Roadmap, Episode Two is set to start in February, though the exact release date remains unknown. Unless you’re looking to rush through the Quest, it might be best to get started ASAP if you’re interested in those rewards, as it doesn’t look like they’ll be around for long.
