We’re right in the middle of one of gaming’s busiest release windows, and you’re going to need to manage your time carefully when deciding which ones to pick up. Thankfully, there are already details available on how long it should take you to beat Valor Mortis, one of October’s most anticipated titles.
One More Level, the team behind Valor Mortis, has described the game as its biggest project yet, with the first-person soulslike set to eclipse the studio’s previous work on the Ghostrunner series. Naturally, that means there should be plenty to see and do before you reach the credits.
Here’s everything you need to know about Valor Mortis’ game length, including how long it should take to complete the game and what we know about reaching 100%.
How Many Hours To Beat Valor Mortis?

According to Valor Mortis’ official social media pages, it should take around 20 hours to beat the game.
This figure has also appeared throughout the game’s marketing, with One More Level highlighting the game’s relatively lower price point. Valor Mortis is priced at $39.99, compared to the $69.99 price tag typically associated with AAA releases.
Most of those 20 hours will be spent battling a strange collection of enemies across the game’s Napoleonic-era setting, with the first-person soulslike taking you through an alternate and fantastical version of 1800s Europe.
However, there’s more to Valor Mortis than simply following the main path, meaning players looking to see everything the game has to offer could spend considerably longer in its world.
How Long To 100% Complete Valor Mortis?
There’s currently no official figure for how long it’ll take to 100% complete Valor Mortis, so we’ll have to wait for more information before putting an exact number on it.
From our limited previews and other online impressions, however, it appears that Valor Mortis features multiple routes to explore, alongside collectables and plenty of enemies to defeat.
With that in mind, a completionist playthrough could potentially add another five to ten hours to the game’s roughly 20-hour runtime, although it could be even longer depending on how much there is to find.
A look at the game’s trophy or achievement list should give us a better idea of what’s required for 100% completion. Until then, around 20 hours is the best estimate for Valor Mortis’ main story, with completionists likely needing a little more time to see everything.
