Hot Wheels Unleashed Has Sold Over 2 Million Copies

Milestone has announced that Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold over 2 million copies. The announcement comes as the game recently surpassed 18 months on the market.

“We are always excited to find great partners that help us bring Mattel’s brands to fans in all-new ways,” said Mike DeLaet, Global Head of Digital Gaming at Mattel, via press release. “Milestone has done a phenomenal job with Hot Wheels Unleashed, and we’re thrilled that the Hot Wheels community has loved the game as much as we loved creating it.”

Since the game launched, Milestone says that more than 350,000 original Hot Wheels tracks have been created by players. On top of that, over 1 million custom liveries have been designed.

“Hot Wheels boasts one of the most engaged and passionate fan bases of any brand in the world,” Luisa Bixio, Milestone CEO, said via the same release. “We’re proud that Mattel trusted us to bring the brand to life in Hot Wheels Unleashed, and so pleased with how consumers have responded.”

Hot Wheels Unleashed is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
