Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition can no longer be purchased on the Epic Games Store, with the Remastered edition releasing later this month, October 31, 2024.
Spotted by VGC, if you head to Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition’s Epic Games Store page, the game appears as ‘Unavailable’ to purchase in certain regions. In other regions, players are redirected to the store page of Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered Edition.
Epic Games Store hasn’t provided an official reason for delisting Horizon Zero Dawn, but it is speculated that this move would lead players to buy the Remastered Edition directly instead of purchasing the Complete Edition and then upgrading for $9.99. For context, the Complete Edition and Remastered Edition cost the same, $49.99.
The PlayStation Store has done something similar to prepare for the release of Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered Edition. However, instead of delisting the game, they have increased its price. For more than six years, the game was priced at $19.99/£15.99 in the store, and just a few days after the announcement of the Remastered Edition, the original game’s price was increased to $39.99/£34.99.
In other news, Epic Games CEO has revealed that the company is ‘financially sound’. Also, here are more details about Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. What are your thoughts on the Epic Games Store delisting Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition? Let us know in the comments or our new community forum!

This is bound to go over like a lead balloon.
The devs made a lot of time saving decisions that compromised the original aesthetic. The biggest offender being replacing the younger original Aloy with the older Forbidden West Aloy’s model. Then there’s light changes, completely altering the atmosphere of certain areas. Making the game bright and cheerful instead of tense and foreboding.
