HCS 2025 Details – Schedule, Teams, Format, and Prize Pool

The Halo Championship Series is back for another season through 2025, and recently, Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) revealed the full schedule, format, and team breakdown for the year ahead. There’s a stacked roadmap for the HCS 2025 circuit, including four Major events and a $1 million world championship tournament.

HCS 2025 Schedule

The Halo Championship Series 2025 schedule is comprised of two ‘splits’, each one containing two Major tournaments:

Split 1

  • Open Series ‘Road to Arlington’: March 1 – 16
  • Online Qualifier: March 22 – 23
  • HCS Major Arlington: April 18 – 20
  • Open Series ‘Road to Dallas’: April 26 – 27
  • Online Qualifier: May 3 – 4
  • HCS Dallas DreamHack Major: May 23 – 25

Split 2

  • Open Series ‘Road to Salt Lake City’: June 7 – 29
  • Online Qualifier: July 12 – 13
  • HCS Salt Lake City Major: August 1 – 3
  • Open Series ‘Road to TBA’: August 16 – 31
  • Online Qualifier: September 6 – 7
  • HCS TBC Major: Fall 2025

Halo Championship Series World Championship 2025

  • Seattle: October 24 – 26

On March 29, FaZe Kaysan will be hosting a one-day invitational LAN with a $50,000 prize pool to help kick off events and pull viewership into the HCS 2025 ecosystem. This event will feature the talents of FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming, Shopify Rebellion, and Spacestation.

HCS 2025 Teams

This year has seen a shake-up in the teams competing in the HCS. Recently, the likes of Sentinels and Quadrant withdrew from the Halo Championship Series, leaving TSM and Shopify Rebellion to step up into the fight.

They’ll join the following to complete the full roster of partnered teams:

  • Cloud9
  • Spacestation
  • OpTic Gaming
  • Complexity
  • FaZe Clan

The HCS 2025 will retain the typical Halo esports qualification circuits, which allow for teams that might have no following at all to break into the highest tier of competition, fighting against some of the biggest names in esports.

Halo Studios revealed the full sweep of maps and modes being accommodated by this season’s rule set.

To usher in the HCS 2025 season, Halo Studios removed Empyrean CTF and Fortress Slayer from the rotation.
