Warner Bros. Games has announced Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, a brand new Quidditch game coming to PC and unannounced consoles.
In development by Unbroken Studios, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a “complete, standalone Quidditch experience” that features “fast-paced” multiplayer gameplay.
“Fans have long requested a Quidditch game, and we have been working with Unbroken Studios for several years to create gameplay worthy of their expectations,” said WB Games president David Haddad via press release. “Now we are reaching out to the fans and inviting players into Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions to help us with this phase of building the experience.”
“[Quidditch Champions] engages players in the sport of Quidditch and other broomstick adventures alongside friends in a competitive, multiplayer setting,” the game’s FAQ section says.”
The reveal of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions comes on the heels of the success of Hogwarts Legacy. That game, according to Warner Bros.’ Senior Global Brand Manager, sold 256% more than expected with it launching on just PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
In addition to the announcement of the game, Warner Bros. Games also announced that it is holding limited playtests. Players interested in participating in the tests on April 21 and 22 can sign up via the game’s website.
A release date has yet to be set for the game nor has any gameplay been made public.
