Halloween: The Game Officially Announced For 2026

Halloween, the game based on John Carpenter’s classic Halloween movie franchise, has been officially revealed.

In development in a collaborative effort from IllFonic and Gun Interactive along with Compass International Pictures and Further Front, Halloween will release in 2026 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

“The Boogeyman is out,” the game’s description reads. “Team up in a 1v4 asymmetrical horror showdown on everyone’s favorite night of the year. Choose to save the quiet town of Haddonfield from bloodshed as a Hero of Haddonfield or stalk and terrorize the residents as Michael Myers.”

“Bringing this world to gamers everywhere is extremely exciting for the whole development team at IllFonic,” Jared Gerritzen, chief creative officer at IllFonic, said “We cannot wait to share more information as we work towards launch in 2026!”

John Carpenter, the director of the original film will serve as executive producer of the game. Also, the game will be both a single player and multiplayer experience, though it’s currently unknown how it will work for solo players.

More details on Halloween: The Game will be announced in the coming months.
